Outburst Monitoring Scale (OMS)

The Outburst Monitoring Scale is a 20-item measure of verbal and physical aggression directed toward self, property, or others, which can be rapidly completed in under 5 minutes by a caregiver and scored in under 1 minute with no special software or conversion tables. It is a psychological test intended for use only by qualified professionals. Information about the OMS can be obtained from the links below. Before using the scale, you must obtain permission from the scale author, William Kronenberger, Ph.D., at wkronenb@iupui.edu. You will be provided with a free password to access the files at that time.
