Child Observed Coping Scale (COCS)

The COCS is a 57 item parent- or self-report questionnaire that assesses 19 domains of coping in children and adolescents. COCS items can be answered for coping behaviors in response to general/typical life stress or in response to specific stresses. For more detailed information about the COCS, please see the links below, starting with the “COCS Scale Permissions and Use” document. A description of COCS content and subscales is contained in the document “COCS Scale Scoring and Interpretation.” You can access COCS documents below by clicking on the headings. The COCS is a psychological test intended for use only by qualified professionals. Before using the COCS, you must agree to the “COCS Scale Permissions and Use” document (please be sure to send the exact wording in the document to the email address) and obtain permission from the scale author, William Kronenberger, Ph.D., at wkronenb@iupui.edu. You will then be provided with a free password to open the files.
